It's so small yet so full of potential, and I love it so very much
Maybe you could love it too - that would help it grow!
I have something to say and maybe you know, maybe you don’t, but I have a quiet little voice that doesn’t like to get too boisterous lest I say, do, or think the wrong thing which is why you probably also don’t know that I have this cute little podcast and while I don’t want to give it a complex about it being so infinitesimally small—I think with its 848 downloads that took, oh I don’t know, 13 months and 14 days to acquire, in the world of podcasts that doesn’t even rate as a thing—I wanted to formally introduce you to it so it could maybe spread its little sparkly wings and take flight—because I love it oh so much!
It’s called the Mindfully Yours podcast and I even put my face on the cover art because that looks like the thing to do. Its central theme and what I could talk about for days is helping you become way more mindful about all the things in life but especially about taking care of your mind and bod. (Could I be any more general about it you ask? Yes, I believe so but only if I added “spirit” in there—which is obviously included, I figured it would go without saying.)
Anyway, I have to tell you… I love podcasting!
Sitting there, talking into the mic like I’m what’s-his-name from that 70s show (not that one, but the one that was literally on in the 70s) WKRP in Cincinnati? Dr. Johnny Fever!!! (I had to Google that so you can punch me in the face at any point—more on that later.)
My episodes are unscripted riffs because that’s always more fun and unexpected. I do take it v. seriously though and I strum on topics like the dread of working out (and how to avoid that), and the life-altering effects of becoming so mindful you actually annoy yourself to no end but then realize it does help with the rearing of children, the mending of relationships and the acceptance that maybe you really aren’t right all the time and those are the things that create change—powerful positively vibe-licious change.
Then there are the topics on how excuse-making has become a profession and how the art of getting nothing done is truly an art form because there is no time anymore, you see, we’re all busy worker bees and now we’re tired all the time too, and we say (and believe) with unwavering confidence and authority that it’s hard to find the time. It’s a pesky balance we maintain.
And because I make sure to keep each episode bite-sized (10-17 minutes long) you’ll find it parallels the habit of eating one Pringle and then wanting an entire sleeve more of them. You’re not going to want to stop.
Below is episode 44, or 60 I don’t know all I know is I love it and there needs to be more people doing the things they love in this world because that vibe benefits each and every one of us!
So here it is, and if this is your first time here please do come back afterward and leave a comment, smiley face, or my favorite: 🤙 and I’ll know you too like it!
I now formally present to you, Mindfully Yours!
