Think not of how many pounds you wish to shed but of the heights you will conquer as you embark on your family beach vacation this year. When once upon a time you couldn’t bear to think of the 137 steep steps you’d have to climb to the top of the lighthouse—this year you’ll finally make your way to the top without feeling like a Victorian maiden encased in a corset, unable to breathe. No dramatics this year, no huffing and puffing, no holding up the line of eager tourists hot on your tail to get that perfect shot as the sun melts into the ocean. This year you will be victorious because this year you figured out how fitness really works!
This year you’ve declared to all, “I fine-tuned this body so I could do THAT!”
Life is way more about experiences than little numbers on a metal plate we stand upon to chastise ourselves.
That’s why today I’m talking about how to reframe fitness so it never feels like we have to look a certain way but instead how we can experience things we’ve never experienced before in a way we’ve never felt before!
