Am I Willing to Practice Until I See Progress?

Susie didn't, and now she's living under a pile of enchiladas

What if Susie was 137 days into working out consistently?

Would her back pain be a thing of the past? Would her waist be two inches smaller? Would she still crave chicken enchiladas smothered in cheese?

What if she stuck with it—who would she be now?

But her frustrations mounted at not seeing progress and now she feels lost, overwhelmed with life, and too stuck in her ways to see any way out. The mountain she now faces reaches far beyond the heights of the Canadian Rockies and dammit if she isn’t tired. So tired.

Oh, Susie, it didn’t have to be this way.

We’ve all, at times, felt like teeny little dust mites standing in the shadow of our own mountain of change—hopeless and full of dread. In those moments, we decide that sticking with what we’ve been doing is our best course of action because change is hard. It’s all so hard. Sticking with what we know—even though it got us in this mess—somehow feels better.

But at some point doesn’t staying the same become even more dreadful?

Truth is, the idea that we’re so far removed from where we want to be is simply a matter of perspective and expectation—and those, we can change.

Real change rarely adheres to a quick timeline. It’s more about showing up day after day, trusting that your efforts are leading you somewhere meaningful—even when progress feels slow.

In this episode, I’ll share my tips and mindset shifts to help you stay consistent with your goals, especially when the results seem irritatingly out of reach.

Are you ready to learn how to stay committed to your practice and welcome progress, however it unfolds? Listen in to today’s episode and I’ll introduce you to a few questions that have been helping me improve my focus and become patient with change.
