And with that, we’re underway! Welcome to the first installment of my new podcast and interview series called Mindful Mama Diaries ❤️

If you’re new here and not sure what’s going on… here’s a quick rundown of what to expect while here! (Hint: it has something to do with moms who… hate the gym—are sick of hearing ye stale old advice of “eat right and exercise more”—are done feeling the heavy cloak of dread descend upon them as soon as they step one tiny toe on the treadmill!)

My first dope-sauce mama to enter the grand Mindful Mama Diaries ❤️ stage is Jill Rogovic—an elementary school teacher and proud mama of two kids, one in college and the other on his way. As she faces the prospect of an empty nest, she’s experiencing a mix of emotions and a touch of uncertainty.

Beyond her role as a mom and teacher, Jill is also a fellow athlete. We shared the volleyball court in high school and even played a year together in college. Our friendship dates back to the 4th grade, and I couldn’t be prouder to introduce her as the first guest of the Mindful Mama Diaries ❤️.

Her story begins with the pandemic and a photo that had her asking, who ‘dat??? (It was her at her daughter’s prom!) These two events sparked a period of introspection and transformation for Jill that led to her losing more than 20 lbs—without it being hard-fought!
